Taken from the graphic novel by Bryan Lee O'Malley , almost unknown in Italy, Scott Pilgrim vs. . the World is certainly an enjoyable film, not great in terms of inherently cinematic, visually superb, but where you really notice all the sixty million spent on the film's a shame that in this worldwide product has not even arrived to collect fifty, so making him come right in the biggest flop of 2010. Failure
undeserved, then: fight scenes (well turned but cheesy) and physiological loss of rhythm in part, the result is in fact at times hilarious, the cast is working hard and the director uses in a timely and efficient technology (not very common nowadays) in the coming off-axis (when assembly cuts from one scene to another completely different, keeping the composition of the frame).
However, essentially a film for videogame fans for an evening or disengaged style pizza and beer.
